RECOM adds to AC/DC range with 130W product including comprehensive certifications.

RECOM has expanded their popular range of AC/DC power supplies with the RACM130E-K series, in the industry-standard 2” x 4” footprint. The parts are aimed at applications that are cost-sensitive, but still require high performance and highest levels of safety certification. The parts operate from 85 to 264Vac with tightly regulated single outputs including 12V, 15V, 24V, 36V and 48VDC, providing 130W output power peak, or continuously with airflow. Efficiency is high, around 90% and this is maintained down to light loads for ErP compliance. No-load losses are also low at less than 200mW at 230Vac. Safety certifications include 2 x MOPP/250Vac medical for ‘B’ or ‘BF’ applications to IEC/EN/ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, as well as IEC/EN 62368-1, IEC/EN 60335-1 and IEC/EN 61558-1 for industrial, test and measurement, IT and household use, all to 4000m altitude. On-board dual input fusing is included.

EN 55032/35 ‘Class B’ EMC emissions limits are met with a good margin and the parts are suitable for installation in surge Class 3 and Over-Voltage Category OVC III environments. Operating temperature range is -40°C to +90°C with derating.

The RACM130E-K series is available as an open card 2”x4” and with an optional metallic enclosure.

Michael Schrutka, MSc. AC/DC Product Manager of RECOM comments, “We can now offer even more power from this tiny AC/DC footprint while maintaining class-leading performance and comprehensive safety certification. Our versatile and cost-effective RACM130E-K is perfect for a wide variety of applications.”

Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
