Gmunden –  RECOM Launches DIN-Rail PSUs for Harsh Environments. The cost-effective and reliable RECOM RACPRO1-S240E DIN-Rail AC/DC series is only 125 x 139mm, 39mm wide, yet provides 240W output from -40°C to +60°C with just convection cooling and to +70°C with derating. Under certain conditions, even higher power is available, with up to 288W up to +45°C, and 360W for five seconds for surge loads. Adjustable outputs include 12V, 24V, and 48VDC, with return voltage immunity of better than 35V at 24V or 63V at 48V for back-feeding loads such as inductors and decelerating motors. A DC-OK signal is also provided. The AC Input has active inrush control and a selectable range: 85V to 132VAC or 175V to 264VAC single phase, for worldwide operation.

Certifications to global safety standards include IEC/EN/UL 61010-1 and IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-2-201. The parts are compliant with EN 61000-6-4 Class B for radiated and conducted emissions and meet EN 61000-6-2 immunity standard. No-load power consumption is 0.8W maximum.

The RACPRO1-S240E series features simple tool-less mounting and 25° push-in electrical connectors. High efficiency of up to 93.5% contributes to excellent reliability and a long lifetime expectancy of 112,000 hours at 40°C. Weight is just 625g.

“Our new 240W DIN-Rail series is designed for demanding, space and cost-sensitive applications such as factory and building automation, energy distribution, test and measurement, infrastructure, data/telecom and more”, comments Michael Peters, Business & Product Manager of RECOM.

Parts include a three-year warranty. Samples and OEM pricing are available from all authorized distributors or directly from RECOM.
