Gmunden – RP50-AW and RP100-FW series target industrial, transportation and telecom applications.

RECOM has expanded its portfolio of isolated DC/DC converters with the new RP50-AW and RP100-FW series. The converter families combine ultra-wide 4:1 input voltage ranges with high efficiency, robust isolation and comprehensive protection features for reliable operation in demanding environments.

The RP50-AW series delivers up to 50W output power in a compact 1×1” footprint, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. The series supports input voltage ranges from 9-36VDC and 18-75VDC, offers efficiencies up to 93%, and features 2.25kVDC isolation. In addition to single-output versions, dual-output models are also available. The operating temperature range extends from -40°C to +105°C, while an optional heatsink version improves thermal performance in high ambient conditions.

For higher power requirements, the RP100-FW series provides up to 100W output power with efficiencies up to 94%. The series also supports a 4:1 ultra-wide input range of 9-36VDC or 18-75VDC. With an extended operating temperature range from -40°C to +110°C and operation at altitudes up to 5000m, the converters are well suited for industrial automation, transportation, datacom and telecom applications. Compact dimensions of 50.8 x 25.4 x 10.7mm are achieved without heatsink, while an optional heatsink version measuring 50.8 x 26.5 x 32.2mm improves thermal performance in demanding operating conditions.

Both series integrate comprehensive protection functions including overvoltage, overload, overtemperature and continuous short-circuit protection, together with remote ON/OFF control supporting positive or negative logic. Depending on the model, the output voltage can also be adjusted over a wide range. In addition, both series comply with current RoHS and REACH requirements and are designed for robust EMC performance.

Combining high power density, wide input voltage flexibility and extended thermal capability, the RP50-AW and RP100-FW series are suitable for industrial control systems, test and measurement equipment, communication infrastructure and transportation-related electronics.

“Our customers are increasingly challenged to deliver more power in ever more compact systems,” said Julia Gasperlmayr, Product Manager at RECOM. “The RP50-AW and RP100-FW series address this need by combining high power density with an ultra-wide 4:1 input range and dependable performance across demanding industrial environments.”
