Fairport, NY, USA –  Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the STD-504 transceiver, designed for reliable communication in the crowded the ISM 2.4 GHz band. Allowing for worldwide operation, the STF-504 is compliant with EN, FCC, ISED and ARIB standards to suit the global market. To ensure reliable communication, the module incorporates direct sequence spread spectrum technology, making it highly resistant to interference in the 2.4 GHz band. It can achieve over 300m line of sight communication. Low operating voltage proves useful when communicating using battery power.

True diversity in the form of two independent receiving circuits ensure the highest signal level is demodulated, providing communication stability and avoiding dropouts due to multipath interference. Additional transmitter diversity is available by selecting which antenna is used for transmission. Configuration using serial commands is possible, and additional data in/out terminals provide a transparent interface to use custom or existing protocols without adjustment. In addition to setting channels individually, a channel step option on the STD-504 allows the user to program and step through a channel plan (20 channels maximum) using a toggle pin.

AFG1005 Features

  • CE, FCC, ISED and ARIB compliant
  • STD-503 pin compatible
  • Uses direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) modulation
  • Channel stepping option controlled via CHC pin
  • A true diversity receiver (two built-in receiver circuits)
  • Transmitter diversity by antenna selection
  • Module settings using dedicated commands
  • Data communication using a transparent interface
  • Low power operation
  • 75 RF channels
  • TX: 55 mA, RX: 60 mA at 3.3 V
  • Data rate 19.2 kbps
  • Communication range 300 m LOS
  • Onboard temperature sensor

Aimed at industrial applications where reliable connections are essential, such as remote telecontrol or telemetry systems, the small and compact STD-504 is suitable for embedding in many kinds of industrial equipment.

Circuit Design, Inc. is a leading Japanese supplier of low-power radio modules, highly rated for quality and performance, which are used in numerous industrial applications such as industrial remote control, telemetry, monitoring systems, tracking systems, etc. For detailed specifications, free technical assistance, or additional information, please contact Saelig at 1-888-7SAELIG, via email: info@saelig.com, or by visiting https://www.saelig.com.
