Fairport, NY: Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Rigol Technologies DG70000 Series Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs), establishing a new performance benchmark for Rigol’s high-end test and measurement portfolio. Built on the company’s advanced SiFi III technical platform, this 2- or 4-channel series is engineered to meet the increasingly stringent demands of modern electronic design, high-speed digital communications, and advanced scientific research. By combining extreme frequency coverage with excellent signal purity, the DG70000 series provides engineers and researchers with a powerful tool to generate complex, high-fidelity signals without distortion.

The DG70000 series leading-edge waveform generation specifications include 5GHz analog bandwidth and a maximum interpolated sampling rate of 12GSa/s. Unlike traditional generators that compromise on precision at higher frequencies, the DG70000 series delivers a remarkable 16-bit vertical resolution. This fine quantization ensures exceptionally smooth waveform reconstruction, with a spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) specification of -70dBc. Combined with an ultra-low total jitter of 10ps and a random jitter of just 350 fs, the system guarantees an exceptionally clean and repeatable signal output for use in sensitive test situations.

Key Features:

  • Two or Four Channels
  • 15.6-inch 2K HD primary touch display
  • Sampling Rate: Up to 12 GSa/s for ultra-precise signal generation
  • Analog Bandwidth: 5 GHz, ensuring accurate reproduction of high-frequency signals
  • Vertical Resolution: 16-bit resolution, providing exceptional signal clarity and detail
  • Wavetable Length: Industry-leading 4 Gpts, enabling the creation of extremely long and complex waveforms
  • Spurious-Free Dynamic Range (SFDR): -70 dBc, ensuring cleaner and purer signal output with minimal distortion
  • Waveform Memory Depth 1.5Gpts per channel (scalable up to 4 Gpts single-channel)
  • Channel-to-Channel Skew Time as low as ±10 ps

The series can handle massive data throughput and complex modulation schemes required by cutting-edge wireless standards. With a 1.5GHz modulation bandwidth and a built-in IQ modulator, the generator natively supports complex vector modulation types up to 1024QAM; an integrated Digital Up Converter (DUC) option allows engineers to directly output RF modulated signals, while an agile frequency-hopping mode achieves hop intervals as low as 128 ns to effectively simulate complex modern radar and electronic warfare scenarios.

Applications:

  • Advanced Research and Development
  • High-Speed Communication Testing
  • Semiconductor Testing
  • Radar and Satellite System Design
  • Replicate of real-world multi-antenna arrays
  • Quantum Computing
  • Dense Electromagnetic Environment Simulation

The Rigol DG70000 Series is the definitive tool for professionals who require the highest levels of signal fidelity, resolution, and performance. These AWGs are available now from Saelig Company, Inc., Rigol’s USA technical distributor.
