A new step to accelerate TraceParts’ growth and innovation

TraceParts joined KEYENCE Group, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of industrial automation and inspection equipment.

This transaction marks a new chapter in TraceParts’ development. By joining a global industrial group recognized for its technological expertise and ability to drive innovation, TraceParts aims to accelerate the development of its solutions and strengthen its ability to support component manufacturers and distributors, as well as the wider industrial community.

KEYENCE, a global leader in industrial automation and inspection equipment

Established in Japan in 1974, KEYENCE is now an innovative leader in the development and manufacturing of industrial automation and inspection equipment worldwide. Their products consist of code readers, laser markers, machine vision systems, measuring systems, microscopes, sensors, and static eliminators.

KEYENCE currently serves approximately 400,000 customers in 110 countries, operates 250 offices across 46 countries, and employs more than 12,000 people worldwide.

The Group generates approximately $7.3 billion in revenue and has achieved average annual growth of more than 10% over the past 25 years.

Innovation is at the heart of its strategy, with a strong ability to develop new technologies that address the needs of industrial companies.

TraceParts, a global CAD-content platform for engineering and manufacturing

Founded in 2001, TraceParts is one of the world’s leading CAD-content platforms for Engineering, Industrial Equipment and Machine Design, connecting part manufacturers and distributors with a community of more than 6.5 million registered users, including Engineers, Designers and other industry professionals.

TraceParts helps part manufacturers and distributors in the digitalization and publication of their products and technical data, while also promoting them through targeted digital advertising solutions. The TraceParts CAD-content platform provides access to more than 2,300 supplier-certified product catalogs and billions of 2D drawings, 3D CAD models and product datasheets that match the digitalization needs of Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Maintenance processes and operations, in virtually any industrial sector.

A partnership built on a shared vision for the future of the industrial ecosystem

TraceParts and KEYENCE share the same ambition: through technology and innovation, to create new added value by leveraging digital technologies, deliver greater value to manufacturers and engineering professionals, and contribute to improved productivity in the manufacturing industry worldwide.

TraceParts will draw on KEYENCE’s international experience, resources, and industrial expertise to continue developing its solutions and accelerate its innovation projects.

This new step is fully in line with TraceParts’ mission: to make product data easier to access and connect component manufacturers and distributors with the professionals who search for, select, and use their products.

Continuity for TraceParts customers and partners

The TraceParts brand, its teams, and its existing contacts will remain in place, and all existing contracts and commitments with TraceParts will remain valid.

TraceParts will continue to support all companies in the industrial sector as an independent and trusted partner, while retaining full responsibility for the user and catalog data it manages.

We are pleased and proud to begin this new chapter in TraceParts’ history, which will help create even greater value for our customers, partners, and the millions of users of our platform.
