Vishay Intertechnology has announced that the company has been recognized by SPDEI, the French association of distributors of electronic components, as a top supplier of 2022. During the Annual SPDEI Awards ceremony on Dec. 6, Vishay was one of three winners in the Semiconductor / Analog category. The ceremony, which celebrated the SPDEI’s 50th anniversary, took place at the Automobile Club de France in Paris.
This year’s SPDEI Awards recognize the best semiconductor and passive component manufacturers of 2022 in eight product categories. Members of Syndicat Professionnel de la Distribution en Electronique Industrielle (SPDEI) evaluated suppliers based on five criteria: partnership with the distributor, innovation, price, quality, and durability of products; product range; profitability for the retailer; resources to support the distributor; and protection and traceability of designs.
Olivier Thilie, Vishay’s distribution area manager for France and Africa, received the award on behalf of Vishay at the ceremony. Also present was, Philippe Masson, senior director sales distribution EMEA and Mehdi Kheddar, Vishay’s director of sales, South Europe. “I am proud to have accepted this esteemed award on behalf of our entire company and the hardworking French sales team,” said Mr. Thilie. “This honor is proof of our team’s strong support and continued dedication to Vishay’s distribution network. I thank SPDEI for this recognition and our sales team for its outstanding cooperation, performance, and quality of support.”
