New Delhi – Calling upon the Indian ICT industry to expand its digital footprint across underserved regions, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India, emphasized the need to ensure that the benefits of digital transformation reach areas that have so far remained outside its scope.
Speaking while presenting the ESC National Export Excellence Awards 2026 in New Delhi, he highlighted how digitization is already transforming governance, citing examples from the law and justice system where technology interventions have improved access, transparency, and efficiency for litigants and stakeholders.
He noted that initiatives such as digital case tracking, virtual hearings, and online legal services are helping bring greater ease of access to the justice system, and expressed confidence that the wider adoption of AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies will further expand digital inclusion across sectors, while also contributing to ease of doing business.
